Spoilers will appear in this following paragraph if you haven't watch the video yet:
The story is basically unrequited love which was never confessed. This is also known as the "I don't know that you love me... here's my partner!". As I'm currently in that phase of life where I fell in love with someone but that person is not in love with me and I'm being moping and being depressed and all that I could relate to The Main Guy in this video (Seo In Guk) who was absolutely distraught when he thought he would get the chance to be with the man that he loves. This does not apply to only two men but it could apply to any gender combination. I know people who are in this situation and its hard for them when they realize that they are no longer (or never was) an option of the person that they loved so deeply. Obviously it would create the most saddest of feelings if you were in that situation.
What I really liked in this video was the symbolism in this video. Yes maybe there is the "curtains are blue because they are" element in most of the video. Dasom's characer in the car symbolizes Seo In Guk's character's feeling of hatred, envy, annoyance and disbelief that all these things are happening. As the video progresses Dasom becomes more quiet which symbolizes SIG character's feelings unable to comprehend all the feelings and that he's trying to keep inside. The room where the stairs don't have a banister symbolises insecurity... (okay I'm making this symbolism up) but as Seo In Guk goes up and down the stairs he's has this feeling of uncertainty and jealousy since the person he loves is with someone else.
The song itself was beautiful musically and lyrically. The song can apply to anyone who is in this situation and it doesn't have that "gender" restriction.
Letting you go is not as easy as it sounds
I turn away, not being able to see you leave me
Tears eventually drop and I need to wipe them away now
I don’t know whether I should use the handkerchief you gave me or throw it away
Why won’t this trembling go away?
The lyrics speak for itself, this can be interpreted as someone who is not willing to let go. It could be a girl, a guy... who knows? It could also reflect your own feelings.I turn away, not being able to see you leave me
Tears eventually drop and I need to wipe them away now
I don’t know whether I should use the handkerchief you gave me or throw it away
Why won’t this trembling go away?
Review: A+
Anyway I'll end this here... I won't proofread I guess I'll post it.
